Welcome to Kiwanis Brighton Bayside (Australia)

Kiwanis is an international community service organization which seeks to create a brighter future for the children of the world. In an atmosphere of fun and friendship we are involved in a range of local and international projects in addition to supporting other organizations in their efforts to improve the quality of life for children.

Kiwanis Brighton Bayside has a particular focus on sick and "at risk" children   and youth. Our main projects involve support for HeartKids, the Royal   Children's Hospital and Monash Medical Centre Paediatric Unit and the supply of Hygiene Kits for homeless youth (via Moira and Open Family/White Lion). We also support Red Cross, St.Kilda Mums and other organizations in addition to involvement in some specific Kiwanis school-based programs in local schools such as Terrific Kids and Bringing Up Grades.

Within a few years, Kiwanis clubs around the world will have raised $115,000,000 to eliminate maternal and neo-natal tetanus from the 39 countries where this disease is still a major health problem.  Sadly, a child passes away due to the disease, every 9 minutes.  www.TheEliminateProject.org

Kiwanis Brighton Bayside meets for dinner at the Highett R.S.L. on the 4th Wednesday of each month.  We welcome new members of all ages and backgrounds.
